3 Makeup Products I Miss

PicMonkey Collage 2.jpg

The idea for this post came from the fact that I’m ridiculously spotty lately – bare with me. It made me wish that my foundation was a bit more full coverage, which made me wanna switch back to my last foundation, which then gave me the idea to write about makeup products I miss: i.e. products that I wish I could repurchase right now. (They’re in no particular order btw). The reasons why I don’t have like one of these is pretty tragic/a makeup-lover’s nightmare so keep reading if you wanna laugh at my life and get a bit of a storytime haha!

 1. Mac Stone

So first up we have Mac Stone! I used to absolutely love this lipstick bc it was just the dark brown I’d been searching for and when I got it for Christmas last year I was over the moon. I also love the Mac formula bc of how creamy and long-lasting it is, but here comes the horror/tragedy…

I was out in Edinburgh with my best friend Emily who’d come up to visit me for a week, and we had an amazing night at this once a month alternative night. We got super drunk, (like probably the most drunk I’ve ever been in my entire life lmao) and a bunch of stuff must have fallen out my bag bc on the way home I realised I was missing my lipstick, my id, my bus pass, my debit card and some change I had at the bottom of my bag, and all that was left in it was a club flyer. I was so panicked but I ended up going back the next day bc luckily they were open for a concert, and even though I cancelled my card just in case, it turned up (but bc I cancelled it, I was without money for like a week which wasn’t fun). My id and bus pass also turned up, but I never found my lipstick. Some girl probably picked it up and took it, because who wouldn’t I guess, but yeah that was probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever done and I’m a lot more careful nowadays!

2. Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation

So this is the foundation that I need back in my life rn – the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. With how spotty my skin is lately, I just really feel like I need it As much as I do love my current foundation (Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless), it’s just not as full-coverage and long lasting as the all nighter foundation, which stood up better against my oily skin as well. It’s lovely and natural and it makes me look healthy, but I’ve just got so much redness and so many spots that I just really feel like I need the all nighter foundation to cover them up. Unfortunately I’m gonna be on a tight budget when I go back to uni so I can’t really see myself being able to muster up £29 to buy it back into my life, but it doesn’t stop me from missing it though!

3. L’Oréal Miss Manga Lashes Mascara

Last but definitely not least, we have the L’Oréal Miss Manga Lashes Mascara! I’ve never reviewed this on my blog, but this is without a doubt my favourite mascara of all time. I’m currently using L’Oréal’s Miss Baby Roll Mascara, which is do really like, but as it’s quite dried up now I need to start thinking about picking up a new mascara. I won’t be repurchasing Miss Baby Roll bc I just prefer the Manga Lashes one a lot more. It’s super fluttery and it’s just everything I want in a mascara – it’s my ultimate ride or die and it’s definitely going straight in my basket when I treat myself to my next haul!

So those were three makeup products that I’m missing right now – I hope you enjoyed reading it, bc it was certainly fun (/sad haha) to reminisce about things I used to use. Let me know in the comments if there’s anything you miss and want to repurchase. Also let me know if you’ve tragically lost any makeup because we can be sad together (#ripMacStone).

  1. Nice post! That’s so annoying about losing your Mac lipstick, you must be heart broken. The product I miss is the perfume Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift. I ran out of it 2 years ago and I haven’t picked up another one since.

  2. I love the colour of that lipstick and what a great post. I have a mascara that I used to buy from Avon and it was the best for my lashes then all of a sudden it wasn’t being sold anymore and I miss it because I haven’t found a mascara like it.

  4. I’ve never tried any of these! It’s something for me to look into getting though, especially the foundation, so thank you😊 I’m in mourning of a Makeup Revolution foundation they discontinued, so I feel your sadness😭

  5. I’ve always wanted to try that foundation! And that lipstick looks so cool but I don’t think I’d ever be able to pull it off haha! Great post x

  6. I heard a lot about the foundation, the other two products look like they’re good, but I’m embaressed to admit I hadn’t heard of them . Thanks for sharing.

  7. This post has really made me want to pull my all nighter and stone back out of my makeup bag and give them another try. I think I went too light with the foundation because of the whole oxidising thing and stone looks super dark on me. I’ll definitely be giving both of them a 2nd chance now xx

  9. And here I thought finishing my favorite Mac matte lipstick in Sin was tragic! I really wanna repurchase the Mac lipstick in the color Sin! It was such a deep red color and it made me look and feel so badass and sexy when wearing it in college! *heart eyes*

  10. Do love a good MAC lipstick, and love the look of the stone shade. Have not tried any of the other products, and have always been a bit hesitant when it comes to the UD foundation for some reason, might just have to try it out x

  11. Omg what a story, can’t imagine what you went through thinking you lost all that stuff! Glad you found most of it, shame you lost your lipstick tho! Great post! Xx

  12. I really like the lipstick! It’s such a nice shade. This is such a unique blog post idea! I don’t know much about makeup but I still really enjoyed reading this post! 🙂

  13. I’ve never heard of that UD foundation either! I really struggle to find one that provides decent coverage and actually stays on your face. They all promise it, but it’s something that’s really hard to get right!

I’ve got an oily T-Zone too, so knowing it actually stands up against that is great! Might invest and give it a try!

    1. I found it super mattifying so if you want a really matte foundation then this is the one! It was really comfortable as well though like it didn’t feel drying or gross.
