Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Palette – Review & Swatches!

Hey everyone, I’m coming at you in this week’s beauty post with my favourite kind of review – one involving an eyeshadow palette (the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette no less)! As you saw if you read my Huda Birthday Haul, I ended up treating myself to it after seeing it so many times at makeup soc masterclasses, or Emily’s house, and thinking that I’d love to add a Huda palette to my (super excessive) collection. I was drawn in by the glitters and the pastels, hoping that it could be a really great spring/ summer palette – keep reading to find out how I got on with it!

Weekly Wrap Up: 11-17th May 2020 – Chilling in the Park with Emily, Virtual Flat Drinks & Finishing my Degree! | ep80

Hey everyone, I’m coming at you with another lockdown edition weekly wrap up! This week was a super odd one for me, as I ended up finishing my degree and having a lot of time on my hands that I didn’t quite know what to do with (moreso than normal, as obviously I’d ordinarily be going out to celebrate and stuff). Nonetheless, I carried on the search for things to do with my time, which was made a bit easier with the changes to the lockdown rules. Keep reading to find out what I got up to, from virtual flat drinks to a socially distanced meetup in the park with Emily, and lots of gaming! Continue reading

Huda Beauty Matte Lipstick in Interview – Review & Swatches!

Huda Beauty Matte Lipstick in Interview Bullet

Hey everyone, I’m coming at you today with another Huda Beauty review (I’m not sponsored by them I swear, I just love the brand a lot); this time it’s of a lip product – one of their Matte Lipsticks in Interview. Chen bought me this for my birthday and I was so so grateful and couldn’t wait to try it out, as I’ve only ever tried their liquid lipsticks and glosses courtesy of my makeup soc masterclass hauls. I also own a lot more liquid matte lipsticks than bullet ones, but sometimes they’re just so much more comfortable and I’m keen to expand my collection (like I need anymore lipsticks haha, someone stop me…seriously). Keep reading to find out how I got on with it, and whether it stands up to the usual lipstick longevity tests! Continue reading

Hey everyone, I’m coming at you again with another weekly wrap up! This week was a bit of a down one during the days as I powered through my coursework, but blogging has really been keeping me occupied and I’ve rediscovered my love for it on the back of so much soulless uni work. Saying that, I also spent my evenings finding the most creative ways possible to find entertainment moving through lockdown and this uni/not uni limbo we’re all in. Keep reading to find out what I got up to – from Virtual Festivals, Interviews and Guest Posts to VE day celebrations! Continue reading

Can Revolution Give Me Glass Skin?

Makeup Revolution Glass Skin Range Products

Hey everyone, I’m coming at you this week (on my birthday, no less!) with some blindingly beautiful-to-look-at products from Revolution: their Glass Skin range! I fell in love with the dewy, flawless glass-like skin concept inspired by the Korean glass skin trend that they put forward in this range; when I wandered into Superdrug in search of a setting spray and saw this one, (along with the other beautiful products they had to offer), I had to take advantage of the sweet sweet 3 for 2 and give it a go. I’ve been using them for quite a few weeks now, so keep reading for my comprehensive review of this super intriguing range! Continue reading

Basic Bitch Tries: Glossy Eye Look (aka when the boredom hits) | ep11

Basic bitch tries glossy eye look cover

Hey everyone, I know it’s been a while since I’ve been on here due to everything going on: from lockdown and uni being a shambles (both generally and as a result of corona, haha) to laptop charger troubles, it’s sure been a ride. But you’ll (maybe) be pleased to know that I’m back on here now, ready to rediscover my love for blogging and being creative, so expect more tik toks, insta posts and blog posts from me in the weeks to come to try and keep you (and myself) entertained. I had a bit of spare time on my hands on Monday this week, so I decided to finally fulfill my basic bitch tries dream of testing out a glossy eye look from back when they used to be super popular (I’m late to the party, as always, I know).
