Hey everyone, I’m coming back at you again with a (super late, I’m sorry) weekly wrap up! I had a fantastic week last week and I really hope you enjoy reading about what I got up to (and what I ate, of which there was a lot) in Edinburgh and at home during my totally not needed but also completely necessary week off! So I’ve been getting back into reading again recently because of the fabulous kindle I got from Rory for Christmas, so I wanted to bring this element of my blog back. Seeing as though my goodreads reading challenge goal is 30 books (follow me on goodreads here to keep up to date) and I’m trying hard to get there, I figured it’d be easier to do more concise book reviews of all the books I read each month; so here we are. Keep reading to find out what I read in the month of February, and what I thought of them!
Hey everyone, so after three weeks of not having a phone as of Thursday this week, we’re back in business with the weekly wrap ups! I’m really glad to be back and I can’t wait to get back into playiing around with my new phone camera and taking pictures again. Keep reading to find out what I got up to this week, from epic quests for quiche to yoga and lots of food in the park! Continue reading
So you’ll know if you’ve been following me for a while that my absolute ride or die favourite mascara that I always wander back to is the L’Oréal Miss Manga Lashes Black Angel Mascara, which a did a post on a while back. Sometimes it’s a bit much to stretch to on a student budget though, so as a budget beauty gal I like to try new things. In the airport on the way back to Seville after my trip home for Rory’s birthday, I spotted this new mascara that I hadn’t (and still haven’t) heard or seen anyone talk about: the Maybelline Snapscara with the tagline “Easy on, easy off” (using just water) and the promise of being wax-free (so not drying and clumpy) and having an intense colour. Keep reading to find out whether the mascara volumises or flops, and whether “easy on easy off “ is code for “will get all over your face throughout the day”. Continue reading
Hey everyone, so if you saw the first episode of this series you know the score – I started this series to interview people on year abroad and give a bit of background to anyone it might interest/benefit; this week, we have the one and only Meryl, who comes up a lot on my weekly wrap ups, or on my cooking posts. So without further ado, let’s get into her very own tea about year abroad! Continue reading
Hey everyone, I’m coming back at you again with another weekly wrap up! This week was a really good week for food and socialising for me and I had a nice couple of days off thanks to Spanish holidays giving me lots of time to soak up the sun. I also had some not so good times which I’ll explain a bit more later on in the post. Keep reading to find out what I got up to/ what is going on with me right now! Continue reading
Hey everyone, I’ve got an exciting one (in my eyes) for you this week – I finally got my hands on and had a while to test the James Charles x Morphe palette! I’d never tried a Morphe product before now as a lot of their stuff I find to be quite uninspiring and there’s a lot of affiliate stuff going on with them or whatever but I was really taken by the colour story of this palette and I think James Charles is really creative and cool. Keep reading to find out how I got on with the palette/ my first chance to try out Morphe for myself! Continue reading
