After what feels like forever I’m back at you with a makeup-related blog post, and it’s nothing less than an old faithful Kiko haul! I should hopefully have some more exciting content coming your way over the next few weeks now that I have inspiration and time, but for now I wanted to share with you what I picked up the other day!
So first up I bought this absolute bargain of a lipstick in the sale – The Arctic Holiday Matte Lipstick. The packaging is a gorgeous holographic Christmas themed red box with snowflakes on, and the bullet is a simple silver with magnetic closure which I really like.
This is what the lipstick looks like when you open it up; I love how the purple and the silver go together – it’s like a cool-toned dream. Anyway enough about packaging…let’s get onto the real fun part – the swatch!
As you can see it’s this absolutely gorgeous deep plum colour and it just glides on the lips with one swipe pigmentation. I’m literally obsessed with this colour like I cannot even begin to tell you. For the 2 euros something that this cost me, it’s honestly such a steal. I wore it for an entire night out and it didn’t smudge or anything. I’d definitely recommend heading down to your local Kiko to pick up this bargain if you still can!
So next up was quite an impulse purchase for me as I saw it on the way to the checkout – my current saviour is the Revolution Brow Tint and I’m really on that DIY on a budget at home hype, so I decided to give this lash lengthening mascara a shot. You basically put it on like a normal mascara for 30 days and it’s supposed to contain oils that promote eyelash growth. I took a before pic so I’ll definitely update you guys in 30 days to see how I got on!
And finally, I picked up these two Fast Dry Nail polishes in the colours 160 and 162. 160 is like a gorgeous dark plum that goes perfectly with the new lipstick I picked up, and you only need 1-2 coats which is great. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts I love the formula of these nail polishes as it’s perfect to apply when you’re in a rush as it dries fast as the name suggests. 162 is a cute sparkly baby pink colour, however the glitter is kind of chunky and it took me 3-4 coats to get it to be fully opaque. It’s nice once it’s on, but just bear that in mind if you fancy buying it.
On the whole, I’m impressed with Kiko’s products as usual, and I’ll definitely update you guys on how that mascara works out for me! Let me know in the comments which Kiko products are your favourites as I’ll most likely be back within the next week or so when Hannah comes up (knowing us, it’s 110% likely)!
P.S. I hope you enjoyed seeing my sweet cactus son Salem in the background of these shots, check out Monday’s weekly wrap up for the full scoop!
