Yes you guessed it…another chance for me to say “I know I’m late to the party on this one”, because I finally got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette! It has a beautiful selection of colours that everyone has reviewed the shit out of already but to anyone who still doesn’t have it by now I hope this is useful!

I popped in a picture that gives you a closer look at the shades and their names. As you can see there are two sort of clear sections to the palette – you have your gorgeous beigey crease shades and light shimmers and then a noticeably darker section that’s great for nights out (or everyday if you’re me).

So here are the swatches of the first row top to bottom: Tempera, Golden Ochre, Vermeer, Buon Fresco, Antique Bronze, Love Letter and Cyprus Umber).  You can’t really see Tempera that well but it’s just your average white/ cream base shade but it has quite a subtle shimmer if you look really close. I love Golden Ochre as it gives me really cute sort of grungey bumblebee vibes. Vermeer is a white shimmer with pinky undertones and it looks b-l-i-n-d-i-n-g in the inner corners. Buon Fresco is a grey-lilac and it’s the eyeshadow colour I feel like I’ve been searching for my entire life (lmao). Antique Bronze is this super smooth subtly metallic chocolate brown – love the texture of this one. Love Letter is a really cute dark pink, and then you have Cyprus Umber, which is a perfect matte brown for the outer v.

Last row top to bottom: Raw Sienna, Burnt Orange, Primavera, Red Ochre, Venetian Red, Warm Taupe and Realgar. Raw Sienna is the absolute dream crease shade like literally, and if you put Burnt Orange on top of it then you get this absolutely gorgeous well, burnt orange look that’s absolutely gorgeous. Primavera is a super pigmented smooth gold shimmer that’s super reflective. Now onto the winner for me from this palette…Red Ochre! It’s the perfect grungy red that I’ve always wanted. Venetian Red is like a shimmery muted red/pink. Warm Taupe is a grey-brown which I really like, and Realgar is this gorgeous dark leafy orange.

So here’s the swatches of the entire palette side by side. As you can see, the colour selection of this palette is so beautiful and all the shades are super pigmented. It’s quite autumnal but this is me we’re talking about like we all know idgaf about trends at all. I’ve been wearing this palette everyday over the past couple weeks to test it out and I can tell you that the quality of these eyeshadows is stunning. They blend so well, and the colour selection makes me get so creative which I love. I’m super impressed by this and I don’t regret buying it at all as this palette is so up my street and exactly my style.
